Because I'm too legit. Too legit to quit. haha, just kidding.
For reals, though, I want to be original. I want to tell the truth. I want to keep finding myself and losing myself in the art of writing. I want to have the self discipline that I know it takes to do something original; to write something meaningful.
Let me tell you who has inspired me to not quit: my mom, my Hunnie, and my sweet friends- especially Charity and Vicky. Many others of you have written to me, texted me, and encouraged me me on this journey.
This weekend, I drove through the mountains to see my friend Vicky and to celebrate her new original release, "Materially Crafted." Yes, she wrote a book, she has a business, she if full of revelry and creativity. But, mostly she is living out her God- given gift and works tirelessly to get'r done!
On Friday, I stood next to Charity and felt her sweet baby Isaiah moving as we stood and worshiped with loud voices and hearts overflowing. She knows what it is like to be in the throes of full time ministry, and to have a call on her life, but to constantly lay it down to serve her husband and children and she inspires me to do that, too.
Yesterday, I rode my bike through Golden Gate Park with my Hunnie, we found a cross hidden up among the tall Eucalyptus trees above a small lake and a cascading waterfall. He encourages me all the time to do what 'fills my cup!' and to take risks and to press on.
I've been homesick for my family, but at least we have telephones and social media. My mama is always quick to respond and be the first to lift me up in prayer.
So, to all who have taken time to stop by and to help me in this journey- may you be blessed as you live your one and only ORIGINAL life-- living out the talents and dreams and stories so unique to your journey.
